The agency was started in 1996 and has been steadily growing and diversifying ever since. Beverley Webb (Managing Director) now concentrates on only a few very talented people and is specialising in Project Management involving Jiriki's talent and other Western Australian artists. 	April 2009 Jiriki Performing Arts is a new company coming soon to facilitate the production of George Gershwin's folk opera "Porgy and Bess" using Aboriginal Australian singers/actors. Wherever possible the cast and crew will be sourced from Western Australia and the premiere of the production will be in Perth, Western Australia in early 2011. Further updates on the progress of this company and production will be on this page as it evolves.

The Boodjar Weern Showcase Group will be touring China in the second half of May 2009. This project has been developing over the past two years and the key people have worked very hard to bring about this result.

		March 2009 Heath Bergersen and Kylie Farmer will spend the month touring with the Yirra Yaakin production of "Muttacar Sorry Business". This is a unique performance tackling the high incidence of road trauma amongst Indigenous communities. They are touring Metro, the Mid West and Gascoyne. 	January 2009 *WINNER* Jiriki Management is very proud of Trevor Jamieson for winning Best Leading Man at the Sydney Theatre Awards on 19 January. Well done Trevor and very much deserved. Ngapartji Ngapartji nominated for Sydney Theatre Awards. 		January 2009 Shakespeare WA will be presenting A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Kings Park Botanical Gardens throughout January and Kylie Farmer will play Hermia in this exciting production directed by Paige Newmark. This is Kylie's second performance in a Shakespearean play. Last summer she played Juliet in Romeo and Juliet at the Melbourne summer season of Shakespeare in the Park.
